It's about time already...

So we finally managed to get out bedroom painted.
I picked out the color, and of course Frank said he thought it would look horrible.
But i bought it anyway, i knew it would grow on him.
I told him the ideas i had for the room.
He didn't like any of them.
We are doing them anyway.
We painted the white stripe on the top of the wall, then put down the paint lines.
Then it was time to paint the walls.
When it was finally finished, Frank says "i like it".
Um, yea! I knew you would!
So 3 of our walls are painted like this...
The wall behind our bed it still not done.
But i am planning on doing a color block wall with the Cyberspace color from above, white, the cream that is on the walls now, and a pale orange color.
I think it will look great.
The orange color will really make the wall pop i think.
Guess who thinks it's going to look stupid!

Preparing for the next step...

Well, it's finally approaching.
In 7 months, Mady will be going to pre-k.
Granted, i know that's a long time aways yet...
but we just got the paperwork for it today, and i'm filling it out now so her spot is reserved.
She will be attending the local catholic school, Our Lady of Lourdes.
Frank and I both discussed what to do in our situation, and this was what we felt was best.
Due to her birthday being a month and a half after the cutoff for kindergarden, we weren't left with many options.
We could have her sit at home with me for another year (which would do her no good with regards to learning and socializing with other kids),
or we could pay to send her to a private school (the public school in our area has a pre-k/head start program, but apparently it's a monetary based thing, where you can only make a certain amount of money to let you kid attend...let's not even go there, that's a whole other rant on it's own).
So we decided to enroll her.
She will have a great time, i'm sure of it.
She will be learning and socializing.
Plus, one of her best friends will be in the same class as her, so getting to see him everyday will make her even happier!
I worry about her though.
For as smart and social as she is, she can be VERY sensative.
I guess i'm the typical mom though.
I want her to be smart, social, confident, athletic, popular, and just happy in general.
Hopefully this year in pre-k will help her to be all of those things, and give her the confidence that she will need to be a strong, independent girl like i envision for her.
It's scary sending your kid out into the world!
If only i were smart enough to home school, lol!!
But i'm not even "Smarter than a 5th grader"!!

A little time goes a long way...or at least SOME way...

Frank is currently laid off.
It's been about a week and a half that he's been off now,
and we both know he won't be off too much longer.
So we are trying to get things done around the house that i've we've been meaning to get to, but just haven't yet.
We had a pile of shelves, pictures and wall decor that has just been sitting around.
Hung...finally!!
Next step is going to be painting our bedroom.
Hopefully this will be a quick and painless process.
But then again, you all know us, and that means you know THAT won't be happening, lol!
I have a few art type projects that i want to do sometime soon too,
then i can hang them on the empty spots on our walls and be happy.
Darn you Pinterest, you have so many things that i want to do!!
If only they would come out looking the way they do in the pictures!
Hopefully we will have pictures of a painted room soon.....
hopefully

Warning letter...

This is your final warning,
i am putting it in written form, since that is what final warnings usually are.
Dear neighbor cat,
stop using my backyard/under my pool deck as your personal litter box.
If i wanted my back porch to smell like cat urine, i would get a cat and never change it's litter box.
Go pee on your owners property.
They are the ones that don't want you anymore.
They are the ones that won't let you in the house anymore.
My next step is to watch for you and then "accidentally" let my dog out at the same moment.
We all know how my dog just LOVES cats,
how he thinks they are stuffed toys.
You won't make it very long.

You have officially been warned.

Wishes hate us...

So Frank and i found the wishbone that we had set out from Christmas (finally, right?!)
We decided to break it and make a wish ourselves.
We both agreed that the wish couldn't be about the kids in any way, it totally had to be about us.
Hmmm, you know this has to turn out just dandy, right?!
Well, we both grabbed a "leg" and pulled.
Wouldn't you know it,
Both "legs" snapped off and the top connecty part went flying across the kitchen.
Great!! Neither of us get out wishes.
In fact, this probably means that all our future wishes will get taken away or something too!
I mean, really, i've never heard of that happening before!!
Have you?!
Only us!

I blame my husband...

I totally blame my husband.
It's all his fault!
I am now...
drinking coffee!
Well, sorta...
He has me drinking the Green Mountain Carmel Drizzle and the Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla.
Granted, they have so much sugar in them that i could probably lick a sugar bowl and get less sugar in my mouth....
but still!

Who AM i ?!?!
