Surprise, it's me!

Yes folks, it's true, it really IS me! I know, i've been MIA lately, but i've had preseason camps all this past week and all next week too. I am there from 715am until 9pm everyday, and that doesn't include my 40 minute drive each way. Needless to say, by the time i get home at night i am totally exhausted and just crawl into bed and go to sleep. That's my life these two weeks, sleep drive work eat work eat work drive sleep...what a life!

So on the baby front, she has been very excited about being at work with me...either that or pissed off, i'm not sure which. I was sitting at my desk yesterday, and you would have thought an alien was trying to explode out through my stomach! She was kicking or punching or sprinting or something, because my whole stomach shifted and bulged out at least 2 or more inches. It lasted about 30seconds and then she was tired and took a nap. She has been kicking on and off all through camp. I don't know about anyone else, but i know i'm ready to meet her already...is it october 7th yet?!

Well, i'm off to bed now, i have a scrimmage in the morning. Hopefully i'll get a few more blogs in before camp next week. Check back often!

Well, here we are, 32 weeks. Time is still only creeping by though. Baby girl is about 16 1/2 - 17 inches long this week, and weighs about 4 pounds. She has sleep and wake cycles now, and she enjoys listening to the sounds around her. Her heartbeat is starting to slow down in preparation for birth. Baby is the size of a large jicama....and by the way, what the heck is a jicama?!?!

Here is my 32 week belly shot. I was very tired this morning, so sorry it's a bit blurry. I started camp today, and it runs for the next two weeks, so i am getting up earlier than usual and having to stay up the whole day without a nap. Baby isn't quite used to this yet, so she is learning. Hopefully it will stay cool, and the week will fly by.

It's a nice day for a white wedding...

Yesterday my best friend got married. It was a beautiful day out, and she looked amazing. It was so nice, but the ceremony did go a bit long (especially for us preggo people that had to stand the whole time). I am posting a few pics from the wedding.

Look what i grew!

Look what i grew! Yes, i grew them on my own, from my very own garden! The picture is on an angle, so they look kinda small, but that's why i put my remote control next to them. I am going to cut them up and eat them today. I'm very excited that i actually got something from my garden! My thumb just might be gaining a slight greenish tint...just maybe.

Speaking of navels...

Today is week 31..yes, 31! This week, baby girl is the size of four navel oranges. She weighs about 3 3/4 pounds and is about 16 1/2 inches long. I'll find out more precise measurements tomorrow at my doctors appointment. Her belly is comparable to a Buddah belly this week because her liver is busy producing red blood cells in preperation for birth, so her buddah belly is round and hard (kind of like mommy lately, lol).

Here is my 31 week belly pic. She is starting to round out a little bit, but she still looks like half a watermelon. Her kicks are getting harder, and i can pretty much figure out where she is and what she is doing at any moment of the day. Her hiccups aren't as often anymore, but they are stronger now. I guess cuz she has less and less room every week that goes by. I'm starting to get really impatient to meet her now.

Today we went to Babies "R" Us with my dad to buy our shower present. He insists on over-buying for us, which can be good AND bad, if that makes any sense. This time, we were with him, so we got what we wanted/needed, and not any of the extra stuff. We ended up coming home with our jogger stroller (which was what he originally said he would buy us), and also a really nice mobile (which i personally enjoy). The jogger stroller will definately get it's use by me once the warmer weather comes back next year...and the mobile will be used everyday. It's the kind that projects pictures on the wall, spins, plays music, has things for the baby to touch to entertain herself, AND it converts into a tabletop mobile for when she is starting to stand and can't have it in the crib with her anymore. It also has a remote control, so we don't even have to go in the room with her, we can control everything from the remote (which hangs on the doorknob), and that way she can lull back to sleep without us having to pick her up to soothe her everytime. I'm waiting for dark to test out the ceiling pics, i cant wait!

Eeyore fun...

Yesterday we had our online shower. For those of you i haven't told about this yet, i am a part of a group of first time parents from all over the US and Canada, and we are all due the first week of October. Well, we organized this "online" baby shower with each other, since we pretty much know each other like close friends. We all got someone else's name (like a secret santa, but we knew who had us and who we have) and we exchanged registry information. Then, we were to go to our person's registry and buy them a gift (under $25), and when you order it, it ships directly to that person's house. Then, we had to wait to open it till yesterday. Then, we all posted pics of the gift we got, and a thank you note to go along with it. It was really fun, and exciting as well. I got an Eeyore doll. The ears are crinkly and the feet each play a different note so the baby can play music and have fun. And the body is very soft and squishy, so she can sleep with it too. It's pretty big, don't let the picture fool you. It also has a hook on the back so you can attach it to a car seat, a stroller or the crib. Frank and the dogs loved it as much, if not more than i do. I hope the baby doesn't have to fight them for it, lol.

We also took the time to figure out how the carseat goes in the car. I thought it was going to be much more complicated, with the strap going here and there, and this attaching to that, and just pretty much complicated that i wouldn't want to take it out once it was put in...but surprisingly, it was very very easy! Whether you use the lapbelt or the latch system, it's very easy. So we took it out and plan to put it back in later.
