A lot to update today :)

I have a lot to update today, at least it seems that way. Let me start at the beginning...Saturday, we went to the Girardville parade like usual. It was pretty chilly, but we both still managed to get sunburnt! This year was a special parade because Bill Clinton was there campaigning for his wife. I tried my best to get his picture, but he had secret service all over the place, and there were groupies chasing him, and i didn't want to get squished! Here is my best pic of our former president, well, his back at least...and there is a pic of us at the parade too!

Now, it's monday today, so here is my 13 week belly pic update...

And finally, i had my 13week appointment today...my 1st trimester screening. We won't find out for sure if everything is ok for another few weeks yet, but so far everything looks good ultrasound wise and everything. Pa-Que was being stubborn today, but that's so much like his mother, lol. He was lying with his back to us, and squirming a lot, and kicking, and didnt want to give the u/s tech a good pic...but i was ok with that because i could have stared at him all day long. And, we have ourselves a thumb sucker. Almost the whole time, there that thumb was, in his mouth! It was so cute! We are going to have ourselves a very active baby. And i am so relieved to have finally seen the baby and know that it's ok in there :)

I think he has my nose and my chubby cheeks. Thats my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby is a shrimp!

shrimp
So today i have come to find out that baby pa-que is the size of a jumbo shrimp. Last week he/she was the size of a lime, so this must be on JUMBO shrimp! He/she is about 3inches long and he weighs about an ounce. Now that i found this, well, insightful page, i will update the blog every week as to which food baby pa-que is similar to this week!

I totally forgot!

I totally forgot! Here is my 12 week belly pic!

What a day!!!!!

So today was one heck of a day, to say the least. It started off ok, i woke up and packed Frank's lunch, then i went back to bed for a little bit. Then when i got up, i took the dog for a run, and it went pretty well! Then i got a quick shower and left for my haircut. When i got there, i locked my doors like usual (first mistake) with the key fab and went it. When i came out and hour and a half later, i proceeded to try to unlock my door with the key fab, unsuccessfully. I stood there for about 5 min pressing this little button, trying to get my doors to unlock. Then i thought i could just open the door, setting off the alarm, and just put the key in the ignition, start it and it would stop the alarm. NO!! The alarm went off for like 5 min, thank god people were at work at this time. I closed the door, and eventually the alarm stopped. I pondered my situation with a passing mailman, who suggested that i may need to change the battery in the key fab. OK, i can do that. So, figuring i had a bit of time before i had to get to work, i walked (yes walked) the mile to the CVS and bought a new battery...differnt brand, but i thought it would work just the same. So i changed the battery and proceeded to walk the mile back up to my car. I was sure this was going to work. NO!! Nothing. So i then proceeded to sit on the curb and cry for a few minutes. Then, i got an idea. DUH STACEY, your mom has been working in Shamokin during the week, so just go to the bank and borrow her car. That way, you can get something to eat and you can just come back and sit in the bank with her for the last hour of work. So i proceeded to walk the mile BACK down to town, and the extra 400-800 meters to the bank, where she WASN'T!! What was going on? Where was she? I know by this time, you're probably saying to yourself, why didn't you just call someone to come get you...well...my phone had 1/2 bar of power left, so i knew that i could only make one call and then i'd be done, so i was saving it for if everything else failed. Well, by this point it's 145pm ish, and i'm starving cuz i haven't eaten yet, and i'm stranded in Shamokin! So i thought to myself, mom has to be in Kulpmont of MCA or something, i'll just wait till 3-315 and give her a call then. Soooo, i proceeded to walk to McDonald's so i could get something to eat. Well, by the time i got there it was 215pm, and by the time i got my food and sat down, it was like 225pm, so i didn't have a long wait time. I called her house and her cell phone and no answer...but no answer meant i could call more people. I called my aunt's house, and no answer. So i waited again. At 315 i called my mom's cell and it rang. She picked up and i was like "Where ARE you!" And then the bad news...she was at a class in selinsgrove until 5, yes 5. But, luckily i had enough battery to explain to her that i was stranded and she said she would get a hold of someone to come get me...thank god my Aunt Marian was at work only a few minutes away and she agreed to come save me from a long walk home. Needless to say i missed work. When i got home, i called the Hyundai people to figure out how i could get my car home. They had me on hold for a little while "i think they were laughing at me, and trying to figure out if i was serious". Well, they eventually came back and gave me this simple thing to do to override the alarm. Would it work? And what was wrong with that SUPER key fab? Well, when Frank finally got home, we went up to the car and, of course, i had HIM try it so i wouldn't look stupid all over again...love ya babe! Well, he did it wrong and the alarm blared again. So then we thought if we disconnected the battery and let it sit that way for a few minutes, it would clear the system and i could just drive it home. NO!! More alarm blaring! Finally, we figured out what he had done wrong the first time and he corrected it and the car was ok. Our audience was impressed, or something at least because they finally went back into their houses. At least they didn't call the cops, lol. Well, guess i can't use the key fab for a while, but at least i can get to work now :)

I'm sure it's just me...

I'm sure it's just me, i know i know, but i've been feeling HUGE! I know i'm not. I know it's not ACTUALLY fat, that it's all baby and things baby needs...that doesn't change the fact that there are times during the day when i feel like a balloon! I feel like my belly has expanded greatly in just the past few days. I haven't gained too much weight as of yet (then again, i passed on weighing myself today because of all the turkey i ate yesterday..i could be up 5lbs right now!!) I will be taking my usual monday picture tomorrow (hence, the reason mentioned above). I am crossing my fingers for a small weight too. I know it's very superficial of me, but being a runner and never having to worry about my weight...well, i guess that's made me a bit narcissistic, and now that i'm growing, it makes me self concious! I am still holding onto the fact that my pre-pregnancy clothes still fit me.

And i'm officially starting the countdown till i get to see my beautiful (and yes, i know that he/she IS beautiful, and i haven't even see them yet) baby.
T-minus 6 days and counting!!

Baby's first movie...

So baby pa-que saw his/her first movie today! We went to see "Horton hears a Who", and let me tell you, it was really good. I laughed, i cried, i was happy, i was scared...i thoroughly enjoyed it, and the baby sat still for the whole thing! LOL! It was definately a kid movie, but the kind that adults can really enjoy too, like the Incredibles or Monsters Inc. I can't wait till we have the little one and he/she is old enough to go to movies! Kid movies are so much fun.

We also just paid off our cruise...YAY! I can't wait to kick back and relax on a boat that is taking me to the beautiful clear blue waters and white sand beaches of the Caribbean. It is going to be a great time, and we are going with great people too, so it won't be a drag at all. I think everyone is pretty excited, and it will only get better as we get closer. I'm just hoping that the doctor will be able to tell me there is something i can take for motion sickness, just in case. It will be babies first vacation!

I am also getting really excited for our next appointment. Everyone that i talk to online that has had their 1st trimester screening already (and mind you, we are all due the same week) has been able to see their little one "swimming" around, waving, kicking, etc. I can't wait to see mine! I hope he/she smiles for the camera, lol.

With that said and done...

So i finally told my boss that i was pregnant. I was scared to death, and i'm not sure why! I'm not sure what i thought was going to happen...like he was going to fly into a rage and fire me on the spot or something. I was just being crazy. He was very happy for us, and he's more than willing to work with me on everything to help me out. What a relief!!!

Now that that's said and done, i can concentrate on other things to worry about. Just another check mark on the "To-Do" list of life :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Another week has gone by. Despite all the eating that i have been doing, i have managed to stay the same weight for another week in a row. Thank God!! I noticed myself getting a belly the first few weeks of this pregnancy, and since week 9, i think it's been getting smaller. At least thats how i feel (or how i'm trying to convince myself to feel). Here is my latest belly pic...

And on Sunday, our crib finally came in. We went to pick it up (and let me tell you that that "site to store" place where they deliver your stuff to is REALLY slow), and Frank put it together already. I am really really happy with the way it looks. It is just what we wanted...perfect! I know it's not the fancy schmancy new kind that everyone wants now, but it's right for us...here it is :) We still need a mattress.

I can't wait to finally have the baby to put in it!

A beautiful day in the neighborhood...

Today was a b-e-a-utiful day in the neighborhood. It wasn't too hot, but it wasn't too cold either. Of course i had to take full advantage of the weather and get in an extra long run, as compared to my "mad dash" runs, that are as fast as i can to get back to the warmth. I think i was even sweating today, believe it or not.

Then, i got home and decided i wanted to try to make peanut butter easter eggs like my aunt makes. Well, i made the peanut butter filling part, and i shaped them into eggs, and now they are chilling in my fridge until tomorrow when i will coat them in chocolate, and hopefully not kill them...lol. Mine never turn out as good as hers. Hers look like, well, eggs...and mine look like blobs of mush covered in chocolate. At least they still taste good.

And then, when i got home from work, i was so hungry i thought i could eat my own arm...so i made salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and corn...and i ate like a pig!! I was totally stuffed for about an hour, maybe two...now i'm hungry again, go figure...lol. At the rate i'm going, my next week belly pic will look like a 9 month belly pic. Thank god i can still run!

10 weeks

Here is my picture at the 10 week mark. And surprisingly, i lost 2 ounces (i know that doesn't seem like much, but when you are set to gain anywhere from 25-50 lbs, you take what you can get!)

Grow little baby, grow!

My own version of maternity wear...

So Thursday, Friday and Saturday i spent in Hershey with my wrestlers at states. It's much different (and better) when you know people. I am so proud of them! I had one win a state title, and one get third (it should have been first or second, but let's not get into that on here). So needless to say, i spent 3 days in bleacher seats...hard bleacher seats. So today, i took the opportunity to spend the day with my mom and aunt at the mall (Frank went out to his archery club to spread the good word). I looked at a lot of nice maternity things, though they were hard to find, as some places didn't carry anything. I also looked at a lot of cute things for baby pa-que (can't wait till i can get them!!). But in the end, i wound up going into Aero and buying, apparently what's new...the LONG tank top (and i mean long as in a young version of maternity long, not the skin tight belly showing stuff), and i got some cute empire waist t-shirts that are very flowy and long on the bottom (again, very cute and still in style, but will hide my bump nicely). They aren't REALLY maternity clothes, but hopefully i won't get that big. We'll see!

A long time craving...

Let me start off this blog by posting my newest pic. This is my 9wk baby bump...

Tonight, we went to the Wayside for $1 nachos. I have been hungry for nachos for at least 2 months now, and i'm just now getting them. And let me tell you, they were sooooooo good. They were loaded with beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalepenos, sour cream, guacamole and salsa. I am so happy right now. The only thing was, they didn't start until 7pm, so i had to sit there and kinda watch everyone else eat while i waited for my nachos. Good thing i am hungry and pregnant, i inhaled those nachos when i got there.

Also, i finally took pictures of the finished nursery. Here are a few of them.

What a fiasco!

So, today after church, Frank and I went to go to Babies R Us to buy our crib. We were going with his dad and kay, and we were going to go to Red Lobster afterwards to eat. Well, we get to Babies R Us, and there are so so so many cribs there. Wouldn't you know it, they don't carry our crib in stores. That was our first downfall. We decided to look around the rest of the store and "browse"...there are soooo many things there to chose from! How are you supposed to know what you need and what is "extra"?! Well, after about 1 or 2 hours in there, we went to Red Lobster to eat ( and let me tell you how full i was ). Well, when we got back to his dad's house, we got online to see how much it would cost to order the crib, and if we could get it shipped to a store and pick it up there to save money. Well, you CAN'T ship it to a store to save money, you have to ship it to your house, and it costs and extra $30. Well, needless to say we weren't happy about that. So i thought a bit, and being the smart individual that i am, i went on other websites to look around and see. Well, i got on WalMart's website, and low and behold, there is our crib! A miracle! AND...they ship it to the store for free! AND...it was only $4 more than at Babies R Us!!! So needless to say, when i got home i immediately got out the credit card and ordered the crib. We should be able to pick it up at the store in about 7 buisness days. We are both very pleased with that, since this is DEFINATELY the crib that we want.

Now all that's left is to start the gift registries...this outta be fun
